Chocolate Toxicity

Chocolate ingestion is a common occurrence throughout the year, but is seen more frequently during this season; especially with the Holiday Season around the corner!

Knowing the specifics about why and how chocolate affects pets can help owners understand why treatment needs to be immediate and often aggressive.

During the holiday season, the Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital will be open 24/7 as usual for all animal emergencies. Our Critical Care Service will also be open 7 days per week throughout the holiday season! Our specialists will be available on-call for your pet emergencies as well.
