Cardiology
The Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is proud to announce the addition of a Cardiology service.
Dr. Michael O’Grady needs little introduction to the veterinary community as he was head of the Cardiology Department at OVC from1983 until his retirement this year. Dr. O’Grady will be working part-time at TVEH accepting referrals in Cardiology.
The Cardiology Service will focus on the diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic cardiovascular disorders as well as offering cardiovascular screening of dogs and cats for owners and breeders.
Dr. O’Grady will be accepting referrals in Cardiology starting in September 2011. Please have your veterinarian contact our reception staff to schedule a consultation with Dr. O’Grady.
Services include:
- Ultrasound
- Doppler/Echocardiogram
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Holter Monitor & Readings
- Radiographs

NEW Elbow Procedure: CUE Arthroplasty

ACP - Autologous Conditioned Plasma
TVEH is offering ACP (platelet rich plasma) therapy for certain muscle and tendon injuries as well as for adjunct or alternative therapy for numerous canine orthopedic conditions. PRP is known to induce proliferation and differentiation of various cell types including stem cell, osteoblast and epidermal cells.
